Terms of Use

Last updated: 21 June 2026

By using the SnackScore app or website, you agree to these terms. Please read them - they are short.

What SnackScore is

SnackScore helps you understand the quality of packaged foods by giving them a 1-100 score from real ingredient and nutrition data. It is an informational tool.

Not medical or dietary advice

SnackScore explains food quality, not your health. Scores and notes are general guidance and are not medical, nutritional or dietary advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always read the actual product packaging, and consult a qualified professional about allergies, medical conditions or dietary needs. You rely on the scores at your own discretion.

Accuracy of data

Ingredient and nutrition data come from Open Food Facts and, where the app says so, public web sources. We do our best to identify the right product and present real data, but we cannot guarantee that every figure, identification or score is complete, current or error-free. When a value cannot be verified it is left out rather than invented. The authoritative source is always the physical product label.

Acceptable use

Intellectual property

The SnackScore app, website, name and design are ours. Product names and brands shown belong to their respective owners; SnackScore is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Open Food Facts data is used under the Open Database License (ODbL).

No warranty & liability

SnackScore is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the app, the scores or the data.

Changes

We may update the app and these terms; the date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
